Cookie Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026. Exactly what we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind at any time.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. This policy also covers similar technologies that store or read information on your device — such as local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — because the same rules apply to all of them under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

This policy applies to roswellit.com, operated by ROSWELL I.T. SERVICES LTD.

2. How We Ask for Consent

When you first visit our website, only strictly necessary technologies run. Analytics, marketing and non-essential third-party content are blocked until you choose. They are not loaded in the background while the banner is displayed.

  • Every optional category is switched off by default.
  • Accepting and rejecting are equally easy — both are single buttons of equal prominence on the banner.
  • We never treat continued browsing, scrolling or ignoring the banner as consent.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the link in our footer.

When you make a choice we record which categories you selected, the date and time, and the version of this policy you were shown. That record is stored on your own device in the roswell_consent cookie. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if this policy changes materially.

3. Categories We Use

Necessary cookiesAlways on

Required for the website to work. These cover website security, protecting our forms from abuse, balancing traffic across our servers, and remembering the cookie choice you make on this banner. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies

Let us measure how visitors find and move around the website so we can improve it — for example which pages are read most and where people leave. Nothing here is used to advertise to you.

Functional cookies

Enable extra features supplied by other companies, such as the embedded map on our Contact page and embedded videos. Turning these off does not stop the rest of the site working — you will see a placeholder with a button to load the content instead.

Marketing cookies

Used to measure how our advertising campaigns perform and, in some cases, to show you our adverts on other websites. These involve sharing information with advertising companies.

4. Full List

Everything this website can place on your device is listed below. We do not currently use any analytics or advertising technology. If that changes, this list will be updated and you will be asked for consent before anything new is used.

See our Privacy Policy.Do not open the assistant, or use “Clear conversation” inside it. Nothing is stored unless you open it.
hCaptchaCookieIntuition Machines, Inc.Protects our contact, quote and assessment forms from automated abuse. The check appears on the form itself; hCaptcha receives your IP address and information about your browser in order to tell a person from a bot. It is only loaded on pages that carry a form, and it is not used to track you or to advertise.Set by hCaptcha — typically up to 24 hoursYes — to Intuition Machines, Inc., which may process data outside the UK.This one cannot be switched off while our forms are in use: without it the forms would be overwhelmed by automated submissions. You can contact us by phone or email instead — see our Contact page.

Analytics cookies

We do not currently use any cookies or similar technologies in this category. If we add any, they will be listed here and you will be asked for your consent before they are used.

Marketing cookies

We do not currently use any cookies or similar technologies in this category. If we add any, they will be listed here and you will be asked for your consent before they are used.

5. Embedded Content

Some pages include content supplied by other companies — for example the map on our Contact page, or a video in an article. This content is not loaded automatically. You will see a placeholder telling you who supplies it and what will be sent if you load it, with two options:

  • Load once — loads that single item for this visit only. Nothing is stored and no other embedded content is affected.
  • Always allow — turns on functional cookies, so embedded content loads without asking in future. You can turn this back off at any time.

Where possible we also give you the underlying information directly — for example our full address is shown as text next to the blocked map, so you never need to load third-party content to get what you came for.

6. Changing Your Choice

Use the link, available in the footer of every page, to review or change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent takes the same single click as giving it.

When you switch a category off, we also delete the cookies belonging to that category from your device, rather than merely stopping new ones from being set.

7. Browser Controls

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies entirely. This is in addition to the controls on this website, not a replacement for them — you should not have to change your browser settings to avoid non-essential cookies here. Note that blocking all cookies in your browser may stop parts of this or other websites working properly, and will mean we cannot remember your cookie choice.

8. Changes & Contact

If we add a new technology or change what an existing one is used for, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again before the change takes effect. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

Questions about this policy can be sent to enquiry@roswellit.com.
